Michael Barlow
Biographical Info
Michael Barlow received his Teaching Certification in 1968 at University of Central Oklahoma and his Masters of Science in 1972 at Oklahoma State University. During the 1970s he was a high school teacher and local AFT President and executive director. During the 1980s he was central office administrator for the OKC Public Schools and was responsible for the evaluation systems for over 5,000 district employees.
In 1985, Michael established a personal management firm that has led the movement to utilize productive, collaborative forms of communication at all levels of school operation. The firm annually assists over 100 school districts with the collective bargaining process. Also, the firm offers the Oklahoma Teacher Leader Evaluation Platform that is currently being used by over 450 school districts in Oklahoma.

In 2009 Michael was appointed by Governor Henry to the Oklahoma Advisory Committee to the U.S. Office of Civil Rights and to the Oklahoma Public Employees Relations Board Chair. In 2010, Michael was inducted into the Oklahoma Educators Hall of Fame.
